12 Months, 21 Days...Going on 16

Oh Life!!

I found myself lamenting today about how I didn't want Cash to grow up, because I don't want him to leave home...oh, Mondays!!

-Still using that trusty bottle-although he did rock the straw today...I'm the one clinging

-He LOVES whole milk-drinks it like it's his job

-Still using the 0-6 month Soothie binki...it's our bff

-Stares right at me, and methodically lifts his food, piece by piece, and throws it on the ground when he is finished-thanks, Bud

-I have always done this weird, annoying thing where I "itch" my throat by making a really loud sound....I started doing that today-look over, and Cash is smiling and trying to imitate me.  Sweet!!

-No steps yet-he gets very offended if we try to make him walk on his own (this is not surprising, considering he doesn't even really like to hold his own bottle)

-Word Bank:  light, Lorelai, Papa, Nana, Baba, Dada, Al, Mama, shakes his head for no, signs "more"...yep-pretty much a walking Webster's Dictionary...

-I'm not discussing his naps right now.  Nights are awesome-he's sleeping 10-11.5 hrs.

-He's wearing 12-18 month clothes, and still even fits into some of his 9 month onesies...he's about 21 pounds

Prairie Life

Well...not really...but we did cook with a cast iron skillet.  Jeff has all of a sudden become mesmerized by the ways of cast iron skillets.  He has been researching recipes, watching youtube videos about how to cook in them, etc.  We proceeded to borrow one from my mom (Does anyone under 50 own a cast iron skillet?  Just wondering...), and he made his first meal.  It was, of course, STEAK.  I pitched in later, and made some blackberry cobbler.  (Frozen blackberries...we aren't purists here)  Cash approved of the deliciousness around him!
